I can’t help but won­der if a lot of the focus on ‘social jus­tice’ (Social Gospel) and liv­ing Chris­tian­ity (in the sense of the emer­gent church) among cer­tain Chris­tians are exag­ger­ated responses to the dimin­ished role ‘social jus­tice’ and liv­ing Chris­tian­ity played dur­ing the devel­op­ment of Protes­tantism  dur­ing the 18^th and 19^th cen­turies. Move­ments greatly influ­enced by reformed the­ol­ogy, nec­es­sar­ily see­ing God as being not depen­dent on us, able to work out His plan regard­less of us.… (Read more)
