I heard the sad news today (when, oh when, will I get a con­sis­tent con­nec­tion…) that Christo­pher Hitchens has been diag­nosed with esophageal cancer: I have been advised by my physi­cian that I must undergo a course of chemother­apy on my oesoph­a­gus.
